Avocado: fruit or vegetable?
You decide ...

“Fruit” is a botanical term for the reproductive organs of a plant. It is the means by which a flowering plant spreads its seeds. We generally eat the sweet, fleshy part around the seed stone or grains.
“Vegetable” is a culinary term and describes the usually savory and hard parts of a plant that we cook and eat. So technically, some fruit can also be vegetables … like tomatoes, cucumbers and pumpkins.
