GlobalGAP sets voluntary standards in agricultural production around the world. It was set up to reassure consumers about how food is produced on the farm by minimising detrimental environmental impacts of farming operations, reducing the use of chemical inputs and ensuring a responsible approach to worker health and safety.
The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behaviour. Certification is based on three criteria: environmental protection, social justice and the capacity for economic development.

How do we recycle?
Dole uses plastic covers to protect the growing fruit. All plastic waste is collected, sorted and reused or compressed into bales and recycled. Watch the video to find out how.
