  • A variant of the peach with similar shape and coloring but smoother, more shiny skin

Selecting

Select fragrant, bright-colored fruit that are slightly soft along the seam. The amount of red blush on the yellow skin is not related to ripeness but to the variety of nectarine.

Storing

You can keep nectarines in a cool spot for a couple of days, longer in your refrigerator.

Eating

Wash thoroughly before eating or cutting. Nectarines are firm and not too juicy, so eat from your hand or chop up in a delicious summer salad.
