Dole Nashis

About Nashi Pears

  • Also known as an Asian Pear, a Nashi is a refreshing mix of pear and apple
  • It has the shape and crunchiness of an apple but the grainy texture and flavor of a pear
  • Nashis are widely grown and eaten in Japan and other parts of Asia

Selecting

Most types of DOLE Nashis sold in Europe have brownish-yellow skin, or occasionally yellow-green. Choose fruit that is heavy with juice and has a smooth skin.

Storing

Will stay fresh for at least two weeks at room temperature.

Eating

Nashis are sweet and refreshing when eaten out the hand like apples, after washing. You can also cut the fruit in quarters, remove the core, and slice onto salads and desserts.
