Selecting

Ripe persimmon should be soft to the touch.

Storing

You can ripen persimmon in a few days at room temperature. Ripe fruit can be refrigerated for 2 or 3 days.

Eating

You’ll enjoy the sweet, syrupy flesh when you eat it straight from your hand or slice it. The flesh can also be pureed and served with desserts.
